In an exciting move for Fairfield County and equestrian sport in the Tri-State Area, the elite training program Bluman Equestrian has formed a strategic partnership with Fairfield County Hunt Club Stables.
Already possessing a strong foothold in the northeast, Bluman Equestrian has become synonymous with the development of young show jumping talent. Led by three-time Olympian Daniel Bluman, the training program has bases in both North Salem, NY and Wellington, FL.
The Bluman brand's new involvement with Fairfield County Hunt Club Stables will allow for expanded opportunities for riders pursuing jumper, hunter, equitation, and pony divisions. Moreover, riders that are unable to travel to Florida during the winter season will have a place to receive high-quality training year-round.
Bluman Equestrian has found success with similar partnerships throughout its tenure, taking over the full-service training program Blue Star Equestrian on Long Island, NY in 2020. It has since developed into one of the most outstanding integrated equestrian programs in the area.
"I am incredibly excited about Bluman Equestrian's newest venture with Fairfield County Hunt Club Stables. The Fairfield County Hunt Club has a rich history in the Tri-State Area, which we are eager to revitalize," said three-time Olympian Daniel Bluman. "We plan to establish an integrated equestrian program that will serve riders of all levels, from beginners to those pursuing the pony, hunter, equitation, and jumper divisions."
The FCHC Stables' riding school will offer opportunities for new and young riders to hone their skills. FCHC will also continue to operate horse shows.
"Our plans include improving the FCHC facility to maximize its potential and return it to prominence in the area by offering excellent experiences," Bluman added. "Building upon this, our other focus will be on running horse shows that will support the significant growth of sport in the New York and Connecticut area."
FCHC Stables trainer Jenny Martin-Rudaz will remain with the program, assisted by members of the Bluman Equestrian training team.
"I am excited and honored to work together with Daniel and the team at Bluman Equestrian in bringing the riding program at FCHC into a new era. This will be a game changer," Martin-Rudaz said. "Members will be able to participate at all levels of the sport, from pleasure riding to short stirrup, hunters, equitation and a top level jumper program. The possibilities will be endless.”
